passion to teach

Sher Amos-Grosser discovered yoga during her first pregnancy in 1995, igniting a passion for mindful movement. As a lifelong athlete she has always been drawn to how movement transforms both body and mind.
Sher has been committed to education and service since 1991 supporting youth through nonprofit work. After a brief pivot into venture capital and startups where she met her husband Adam, she returned to what motivates her ~ advancing equity through community engagement. She worked at and served on nonprofit boards including Reading Partners Silicon Valley, Reproductive Freedom for All, 4Cs Child Care Coordinating Council of San Mateo County, My New Red Shoes, and Ravenswood Classroom Partners. During Covid, she offered a wellness program that provided chair yoga to local Bay Area public school teachers. Today, Sher leads inclusive, trauma-informed yoga experiences for youth in juvenile facilities, all levels yoga to athletes and executives, and personalized approaches in intimate private groups. She always blends movement, mindfulness, breath with patience and care. As Noah Mazé encouraged, "there is always more", Sher continues to deepen her yoga knowledge from other teachers and institutions. Off the yoga mat, Sher enjoys playing tennis and golf, cheering on the Golden State Warriors or any sport her adult kids and nieces decide to take on, chasing the wind on some sun-kissed water with Adam and their family, or being dragged in the hills by their exuberant fluffy pups. |
